things I like lately

from the 2013 archives // Agfa Precisa 100, Canon EOS 500N

- my sister gave birth to a healthy, strong baby boy last night - can't wait to meet my new darling nephew!
- a bouquet of tulips from my husband - just because
- homemade pizza for Saturday dinner - and several for the freezer
- pretty much all our Christmas cards have been sent
- this photo (at the bottom of the page) and the story behind it
- gjør oversminka dukker om til vanlige jenter (via Listebloggen)
- 10 ting som alltid blir borte
- the list of 5 - might do one myself soon
- a walk around the lake in daylight
- harvesting kale from the garden (still!) for a super nutritious green juice (my body screamed of joy to finally get some propper nutrition, there has been way too much sugar, carbs and melted cheese lately)
- watching "Karsten og Petras vidunderlige jul" with Sara
- a pink morning sky
- finally seeing the bottom of the piles of the student papers I'm grading
- the expression on the face of students that get grades that are better than they expected
- one week left until a much needed Christmas break

- - -

Things I don't like lately

- busy days; way too busy days
- being a master emotional eater - especially in times like this with too little sleep and too much to do
- I fell off the running wagon just as quickly as I got on it - must remedy that (a few motivational tips along the way)

things I like lately

from the November film of a roll of film a month project // Fuji Superia 200, Minolta SRT 101

- the smell of cinnamon when I get to work in the morning - free oatmeal porridge is offered to the students every morning
- having film developed - the October and November films of my a roll of film a month project
- happy to see that the results of those rolls of Fuji Superia 200 were better than expected, especially the shots taken outdoors during daylight (the indoor photos are a different story due to the low iso)
- toffifee on the lunch tables at work
- intrigued by reMarkable and the Leica Sofort instant camera
- a home office day that was productive both when it came to grading student papers and getting a bit of clutter control of our house (busy work weeks = clutter everywhere - sounds familiar?)
- Sverre fell asleep tonight - just like any other night - even though we forgot his beloved dachs dog teddy in kindergarten. He did however object when I offered him another stuffed animal. He shook his head and asked for "vovva" (his version of woof).

Things I don't like lately

- busy days and short nights
- the piles of student papers that needs to be graded
- not even close to buying Christmas presents yet

a Wednesday list

Tuscany, Italy - June 2011 // Fuji Pro 160S, Olympus mju

- Sverre woke me up at 0515 - I don't approve!
- we had fresh bread delivered on our door step - this time organic multi seed spelt bread
- looking forward to lunch with said bread plus philadelphia cheese, salami with Italian spices and apple slices
- I have had a Norwegian lesson on how to give oral presentations
- I have had an English lesson about eating bugs
- feeling a bit sore from my run yesterday
- plan to do a lot of reading today for my upcoming exam in Norwegian dialects - just one more week to go!
- dreading the pile of student papers that need to be graded when I have finished my exam
- in desperate need of more coffee
- have no plan for tonight's dinner - what are you having?
