al fresco dining

Kodak Portra 160, Canon EOS 500N

Our summer has been so full of fun and happiness. Here are glimpses of an al fresco dinner at Åsly in the beginning of our summer holiday. Eating out of doors is one of my favorite things about summer.

inside other people's houses

Åsly, the family holiday home at Voss, also the house where my mother-in-law grew up. It is where we have been for the last two weeks. Well, technically it is partly my house, but I did not decorate it - hence the title of this post. I love photographing it though - this time with my iPhone + processed with the Vintage Camera app and VSCO Cam app. See more photos from Åsly in this set on Flickr.

friminutt

The July challenge over at NIB (Norwegian interior design blogs) is summer break. Here is my contribution:

My favorite break these days - whilst on holiday at the family holiday home Åsly - is a fresh cup of coffee whilst my baby naps. Well, to be honest, it is a favorite kind of break any day. But I especially enjoy making coffee in this charming kitchen at Åsly. Whilst drinking my coffee, I normally catch up on blogs. Or Instagram. Yes, still hooked... It is just so handy and fun these days when I spend less time in front of the computer. Also I have fallen in love with the iPhone camera and all the photo related apps. The photo above, for example, was snapped with my phone + processed with the VSCO Cam app. Me like!

a summer day at Åsly

Fuji Superia Reala 100, Canon EOS 500N

In the middle of August we took a small break from the renovation to do a bit of clearing out and maintenance work at the family holiday home Åsly at Voss. It's such a lovely place in summer!

morning light

Fuji Superia Reala 100, Canon EOS 500N

Lovely morning light earlier this week at Åsly. Another one here. This Sunday morning the sky is colorless and it feels like all light has been switched off. More lovely light in this set on Flickr and in my Blurb Light book.

today is beautiful

Voss, 1:50 pm

15 C below, sun, blue skies and perfect snow conditions in the slopes. By the way, this is were we got married. To say I like it here would be an understatement.

How is/was your Saturday?

winter Åsly

Canon EOS 500N, Kodak press chrome 100

These shots are from the family holiday home at Voss, Åsly. Sølve and I was last there in late November. Sølve had his company's holiday dinner party there, so we drove up from Bergen the night before to heat up the house - with good reason. It was +1 °C when we arrived at the house in the evening...

summer breeze

My mom and I are in Skien visiting family. Baby it's cold outside! But inside is like a summer breeze thanks to my grandmother's blazing fireplace. Above are some glimpses of summer at Åsly - a stark contrast to today's reality.

By the way, my meet up with this lovely family yesterday was absolutely wonderful! Unfortunately I forgot to take any photos - we had too much fun :-)

Åsly

I caught some beautiful sun light on slide film (Fuji Provia 100F) back in March when we were at Voss skiing. Talking about beautiful sun light: The beautiful evening sun light is back in our apartment. It will stay all summer and I love it! The weather forecast says it will be sunny all weekend, which means we will be in the garden all day and night. Bliss!
