things I like lately

Here is some meat to balance out all the veggie inspiration I just purchased. From my September 2010 archives; dinner time on the Château de Triac estate, Cognac France // Kodak Portra 160c, Canon EOS 500N

- when Sølve takes a screaming, overtired Sverre to the bathroom to get him ready for bed, so I can enjoy a bowl of his super delicious fish soup in peace and quiet (well, as quiet as it gets with a four year old as my dining companion)
- homemade hamburgers and a freezer full of homemade meatballs - Sølve loves his meat grinder!
- an impromptu play date with one of Sara's best buddies from kindergarten
- and later in the week a planned dinner and play date with said buddy
- a freshly cut fringe
- coral pink finger nails
- the tidy life: 7 daily habits from the author of Simple Matters
- this little interview with Luise Vindahl of Green Kitchen Stories
- going on a little Amazon book shopping spree - I got these beautiful books from some of my favorite bloggers: My New Roots: Inspired Plant-Based Recipes for Every Season, The Sprouted Kitchen: A Tastier Take on Whole Foods, At Home in the Whole Food Kitchen: Celebrating the Art of Eating Well, Vegetarian Everyday: Healthy Recipes from Our Green Kitchen and Simple Matters: Living with Less and Ending Up with More
- still hooked on oatmeal porridge for breakfast
- back on the green juice wagon (but still eating too much sweets - let's call it a balanced diet, shall we?)
- the new look on Monique's blog The Sunday Best
- these reusable smoothie pouches (via Linn)
- a surprise package in the mail from the very best Hanne in Bergen - the best homemade granola I have ever tasted!
- the look of a bouquet of 70 (!) tulips (for my mother-in-law's 70th birthday this week)

Things I don't like lately

- Sara cut her hair - by herself - and its very short
- Sverre wakes up more often during night than he used to - I think it's because he's hungry, so we are slowly starting to introduce solids - big milestone!
- cancelling our planned trip to the mountain cabin this weekend due to super cold temperatures - we don't want to bring Sara and Sverre there when its as cold as minus 15-20 degrees Celsius
