life, week 46

Monday 8 am // pink skies and heavy rain

Our friends in Bergen lent us their newborn seat for the Stokke Tripp Trapp. She really enjoyed having dinner next to her baby brother. I think he liked it too.

multitasking // (much needed) pedicure and nursing // tusen takk for fjorårets bursdagsgave @marihagen

Hei! Also: Sverre is 8 weeks old today (Tuesday November 10)

The path around the lake is getting dirtier and the fallen leaves are getting soggier. We are entering the part of autumn (and soon winter) when nature is dressed solely in shades of brown and grey.

Tuesday 3 pm // looking for dinner inspiration online (we are having chicken, but how?), Sverre is making happy sounds on the activity gym (my new favorite sound), fresh fire in the wood stove (I miss having one with windows so I can see the flames) and lovely afternoon sunlight (always the best)

Look, mamma! The tree grows in water! // Kindergarten is closed for two days, so Sara gets to hang out with Sverre and me all day. A little trip to the city centre and the library, plus a visit to grandma's office, were all hits.

my favorite @hannemeg is here // lucky me!

all onboard the breakfast train // Sara got a new best friend this weekend

November beach time equals cold waters, surfers...

...frolicing, gorgeous light...

...and sand castles. Pretty much the same as July beach time means in this part of Norway.

2 months old today and saw the beach for the first time in his life. He didn't seem very impressed, but the rest of the family were very impressed by all the surfers in the mid November ocean.

Sunday 4pm // so happy to live close to this again

  1. Herlige Hanne!
