giveaway!

I'm neck-deep into work (being a new teacher really is a LOT of work), supervised field experiences, exam writing and life in general (the house!) these days. I could need a little cheer me up - and I'm hoping you will help me.

Leave a comment on this post and tell me about the things you like lately. By leaving this happy, positive, optimistic comment, you get a chance to win my life + good things book. The book is filled with all the life via iPhone collages from 2013 + a whole lot of things I like lately. I will pick a winner at random next Wednesday (November 12).

Bring on the happiness!

The book is also available for sale in my Blurb bookstore; as pdf and softcover book. There is also a little preview of the book available over there, if you are interested.

  1. I like feeling my baby girl grow inside of me, relaxing on the sofa with our cat, going to sleep early, autumn colors, tea with spices, cooking with the pumpkins from our garden :-)

  5. Hey Astrid,
Fall is beginning to turn into winter on my side of the globe. The days become shorter and the air colder, but this year it is good and I welcome it. It's time to read good books, devote time to more projects and try all of those recipes I've been hoarding up. I can't wait to read my new Nigel Slater book from cover to cover and drool over the winter-time recipes...and attempt some without burning down my house!

  7. It seems that I'm going though a similar crisis, so any happy thought is really welcome.
I started a jar-project in 2013 (which was one of the hardest years in our lives) where I wrote every good thing that happened and put it in the jar. Last week I sortet through photos and the texts and made a book out of it, to remind us of those good things. This is what I like lately. The ability to make yourself think about the better things, even if it's hard. Thank you Astrid!

...some dear friends totally surprising me with a belated hen´s night, initialized in the first place by my amazing ( and sneaky!) husband; I had no clue!
... getting out of my comfort zone and overcoming my fear of singing during said hen´s night - karaoke is okay if you´ve got some good friends with you (okay, and maybe a drink or two)
... listening to my little daughter who finally started talking. She seems to learn several new words everyday and we have our little conversations.
... sitting at our new dining table, having a meal or playing backgammon

    ... lighting candles
