what's for dinner, week 18

Monday: chicken soup made from Sunday leftovers
Tuesday: pearl barley salad with store bought grilled kitchen (shredded, from the freezer), bacon and what ever is in the fridge vegetables (red onion, yellow and green bell pepper, carrot, squash, garlic)
Wednesday: Sølve's pot roast (from the freezer) and a mixed salad

Sara and I are off to the arctic north to visit my sister and her boyfriend for the rest of the week, so no more ordinary dinner planning this week.

What we actually had for dinner last week:

Monday: garlic and rosemary marinated roasted pork filet and barley rice salad with what ever is in the fridge vegetables (leek, squash, green bell pepper, carrot, celery, garlic, asparagus)
Tuesday: Tuscan white bean soup
Wednesday: will be eating out with friends at Kroathai 
Thursday: cod filets with bacon, garlic and tomato salad pasta with cheese and garlic + leftover chicken from Sølve's home alone roasted chicken dinner
Friday: fresh shrimp sandwiches baked Salma salmon with seafood & fish spice mix, roasted potato wedges and sour cream
Saturday: homemade pizza
Sunday: ratatouille and roasted Stange chicken

about this project

- every Monday I post the week's menu
- I also post what we actually had for dinner the passed week (because it is fun to see if we actually followed the plan)
- there might be links to recipes, but the menu will mostly just be basic ideas for the dinners
- Saturday and Sunday dinners will often not be planned ahead because we have a habit of buying whatever looks good in the store when we are out grocery shopping Saturday morning
- each post will be illustrated with one of my food related photos, either from my archives or a new one
