what's for dinner, week 44

my birthday dinner, main course

Monday: Sunday leftovers
Tuesday: cleaning out of the freezer and fridge fish stew: leftover sauce from Sunday, salmon filet, cod filet, scallops, carrot, parsley root, cauliflower, white asparagus, green peas, potato, chili and spring onion
Wednesday: roasted root vegetables and minced beef and bacon

Sara and I are off to Tromsø to visit my sister and her boyfriend for the weekend, so the rest of this week's dinners will be planned and made with them.

What we actually had for dinner last week:

Monday: a salad with mixed lettuce, chicken filet, red onion, apple, avocado and balsamic vinegar
Tuesday: at our friends' place (had to cancel because I didn't feel well) couscous salad with chicken filet with chicken & steak spice mix from Santa Maria, cherry tomatoes, red onion and squash
Wednesday: pasta with mushroom sauce and bacon (from the freezer) and a salad roasted potatoes, carrots, squash and sausage with salt, pepper and oregano
Thursday: my fish soup the same as Wednesday + broccoli
Friday, Sølve's birthday: seafood: fresh shrimp and crab sandwiches
Saturday: fish/meat of the day with vegetables: homemade pizza
Sunday, my birthday: Sølve's beef stroganoff (one of my favorites) Sølve went to the farmer's market on Saturday and came home with fresh red deer tenderloin, so he made a fantastic dinner with that + pan fried chanterelles and pears + roasted potatoes, Brussel sprouts, cauliflower, garlic and shallots + plum sauce, the first course was pan fried Atlantic wolffish, white asparagus and a fantastic sauce made from shimp and crab stock

  3. Wow, deer tenderloin, pan fried fish, white (!) asparagus and a bisque sauce. I can imagine disappointment not getting your favorite stew, but who doesn't want to be surprised by a dinner like that huh!?! ;-)
