What we actually had for dinner last week:

Monday: leftover ratatouille and whole grain spaghetti
Tuesday: a repeat of last Tuesday vegetables (potato, carrot, cauliflower, onion) and mutton filet gratin
Wednesday: dal with rhubarb Tuesday leftovers
Thursday: beetroot soup homemade pizza (from the freezer)
Friday: gratinated cauliflower with bacon a salad with little gem lettuce, endive, avocado, red onion, apple, mixed nuts and vinagrette (a new favorite salad) + oven baked salmon filet with seafood & fish spices (saffron, lemon, fennel, pepper, dill) from Santa Maria

Sara and I are visiting family in Trøndelag this weekend, so the rest of this week's dinners will be made by them. Unfortunately we had to cancel our trip because of strikes. My mother came to Bergen for a visit instead.

Saturday: first course: scallops with dill oil (from page 100 in the summer issue of Sweet Paul Magazine), main course: a salad with chicken filet with chili explosion spices (various chilis, paprika, pepper, tomato) from Santa Maria, little gem lettuce, endive, mango, cucumber, red onion and fresh coriander + rice and sweet chili sauce on the side (another new favorite salad), dessert: baked rhubarb (via Orangette) with vanilla ice cream
Sunday: grilled filet of pork with roasted vegetables (potato, carrot, onion, broccoli, beetroot, garlic)

  1. Oh dear, veggies look incredibly delicious! I should try this.

  2. Roast vegetables are my favourite food, they look amazing, though I never think to add broccoli, I'll fix that :)

  3. I really like the keeping track of dinners. It's too easy to shuffle something together without care, forgetting about the ceremony of coming together with good food. Something we're always struggling with at my house.
