Why do you shoot film, Kate?
I discovered a whole new joy to photography when I treated myself to a 35mm SLR camera where I was suddenly able to control every aspect of the photographic process. After many years of trial and error with lomography I suddenly found that I was able to make my photographs look exactly how I wanted. I love nothing more than taking the time to compose an image and not just endlessly snapping away from every angle. I feel like I am able to discover so much more when I'm visiting a new place with my camera round my neck to help me capture all those hidden details.
You can see more of Kate's photos on her Flickr and blog.
