Why do you shoot film, May?

It wasn't until I started shooting film did I start to have a better understanding of the mechanics of a camera, the weight and sound of a film camera makes photographing more real. Shooting film is also kind of a calming experience, it forces me to slow down and imagine what will come out after the click. I love the imperfect quality of film. There's always new surprises with every roll, different film/camera may catch light differently and there's the occasional light leaks and double exposures; these accidents always put a smile on my face.
