Heather shoots film
Why do you shoot film, Heather?
I look for the unexpected or special moments in the every day. Film is a slow process, is thoughtful, and requires my patience. It usually takes me about a month to shoot a roll of 36 exposures. I am trying to train myself to wait and see if what I capture is really what I thought I took. So when the images return there is an element of surprise or wonder and gladness. I'm not very critical of each shot and instead try to appreciate it and find something useful in the process.
You can see more of Heather's film shots in this set on Flickr.
