Amanda shoots film
Why do you shoot film, Amanda?
I believe photography is about creating stories. With film stories come to life and the image just seems that little bit more magical.
The light that can be captured with film is something special and I love the softness and almost blurred reality of life.
When I look into the viewfinder, what ends up being on the paper is what I imagined in my head. It doesn't generally happen that way with digital.
Film to me is more real, the click and whirr of the shutter button, the time it takes... just magic.
